Privacy
This page says what data ReviewsBoost stores, why, and for how long.
Who is responsible
ReviewsBoost is a product of Akson Group Sàrl, Rue Caroline 2, 1003 Lausanne (Switzerland). Akson Group Sàrl decides how the data on this page is used: it is the controller.
Before you sign in: searching for your business
When you pick your business on the home page, we store its Google identifier, its public name, the page language, the page the search came from and the time. This describes a business, not a person: nothing personal is stored before you sign in.
Limiting abuse
To limit abuse of the search, we keep a fingerprint of your IP address, computed with a secret key. The address itself is not stored. The fingerprint is deleted by the first search made on the site after 48 hours.
On your guests’ page
When a guest plays, a cookie holding a random identifier and a fingerprint of their connection (IP address and browser), computed with a secret key, enforce the waiting time before playing again and the daily limit. We ask for no name, email address or phone number.
Audience measurement on the public pages
The public pages (home, pricing, how it works, FAQ) use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits. The measurement is aggregated. It records page views and a few actions: a click on a “Start” button, playing the video and how far it gets (25, 50, 75 and 100 percent), opening a FAQ question. Each data point carries the time, the page address, the referring page, the country or region, the operating system, the browser and the device type. Vercel uses no third-party cookies for this: the visitor is recognised by a hash computed from the request, discarded after 24 hours. We do not build a personal profile. The measurement is provided by Vercel, which describes its processing in its privacy policy.
Your language and theme choice
The language menu saves your choice in a cookie named rw_lang (fr, de or en), valid for one year. It holds no identifier and only shows the application’s pages in your language. The theme choice (light, dark or system) stays in your browser’s local storage and is never sent to our servers.
After you sign in
Your email address, or your Google account identity if you sign in with Google, lets us recognise you when you come back. We also store your venue’s settings and the plays on your guest page.
Service providers
We pass data to Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (hosting) and Google (sign-in with Google and business search). Stripe processes payments and billing data for paid plans: card data goes to Stripe, not to us. When the home page search uses Turnstile, Cloudflare will check that a person, not a bot, is visiting.
Where the data is
The database is in Frankfurt (Germany), and the site runs in Frankfurt too. Google, Stripe and Cloudflare process data under their own terms, and may do so outside Switzerland and the European Union.
How long
A playing guest’s cookie lasts 400 days. Plays (cookie identifier, that day’s fingerprint, result, time) are kept as long as the venue exists: they feed the statistics and the play limits. We do not delete them sooner. If the venue is deleted, its plays and codes go with it. Cashier PIN attempts leave a fingerprint of the IP address, deleted by the first cashier attempt made after 24 hours. Your account stays until you delete it yourself in the settings or ask us to. It then closes at once, and your venues, their plays and codes are deleted for good within 30 days. Until then, you can restore it by writing to contact@akson.ch. We keep your invoices, as accounting law requires, and the number of free plays used at your Google place, so that signing up again does not restart them.
Your rights
You can ask to see your data, to have it corrected or to have it deleted. To delete your account and data yourself, open the venue settings and choose “Delete my account and data”. For anything else, write to contact@akson.ch. We reply within 30 days.
No cold outreach
We never send a message to a business based on a search made on the site. We only write to people who have signed in.
